After battling many health issues over the past two years, my mom passed away. I have some blog readers that are acquainted with the family – although probably most of you may know already.

She suffered an inoperable hemorrhagic stroke on Tuesday morning at her home in Guelph, ON and doctors gave her 24 hours to live, after further medical examination. My son David and I drove to the hospital Tuesday evening to be with her and other members of the family. We stayed with her through the night.

By early Wednesday morning, her condition had not changed and David needed to be back in Orangeville so we made that trip.

Today on Thursday, I learned that she had passed at about 3:10pm.

Naturally, lots of different emotions, some shock, and processing going on.

I want to give my sister Janice a huge “shout out” for being with mom the entire time since Tuesday morning. I am really proud of her for what she did.

Funeral arrangements will be finalized on Friday, and we’re tentatively looking at Tuesday, May 21st, 2019, in Guelph. I’ll update this post as these arrangements are confirmed.
