Bono The Hypocrite

Spread the love

Ok, all you friendly tax payers and Bono admirers, hear this. Bono wants governments around the world, including Canada, to spend more in Africa.

While you’re admiring Bono, take a look at BBC’s Report on Bono’s Wealth:

“We reckon Bono can bank on a personal fortune totalling around £108 million – having earned around £26m of it from U2’s songs.”

Because artists in Ireland are exempt from paying tax on royalties or artistic incomes, Bono’s saved millions of pounds over the years.

No wonder Bono and Paul Martin get along so well. One doesn’t pay taxes, and the other managed to have his ship lines pay a measly 3%.

I don’t think any further commentary is necessary. Do you?
