An Apology

Spread the love

Last night, I received a bunch of ANONYMOUS emails without any name, calling me a “Chicken Shit” and also suggesting I had no character and so forth. There were quite a few of them, all obviously aimed at my recent posts regarding drafts and conscriptions. I have my suspicions as to who they were from, but I don’t really know.

I should have just gone to bed and slept on it. But I didn’t. I still fail to see why some take such a pompous view of this whole issue, and yet sit behind their anonymous computers while accusing or suggesting that others are cowards for the view points they have.

Anyhow, my comments last night were aimed at those who want to pretend that they are holding up to some higher sense of morality, while suggesting those who do not share the same values are cowards. Especially to those who want to send anonymous emails.

Again, my apologies to others that took anything personal from my rant.

  1. Ian, I’m not sure why you’re so upset, but I think you’re seeing something here that I’m not. I’m still undecided as to whether or not I’ll be hoisting the Blue Jack or not (I am an Alberta separatist, after all), but if I do so it would be in the memory of my grandfather who served as a cook in the Canadian Navy in WWII. Anyhow, if you’re feeling stressed, try picking up a camera. (Hey, it works for me!) 😉

Hehe.. well, I’m not sure why I I felt so “upset” last night, either. It was a response to some nonsensical emails… and I had a typewriter in front of me. “Have typewriter.. will type” kind of thing. I must have had a “maturity regression” to about 16 years old or something. *shrug* I think I shall have a new policy of waiting 12 hours before I post anything 🙂 Ah well… The Blue Jack is a lovely ensign. I think Jay Currie is hoisting it on his blog. And Sean… still having issues with your site.. sometimes no problem.. then other days, “cannot be found” errors.
