CLIMATE OF LAVREOTIKI, GREECE
If you want to visit Lavreotiki, you'll probably want to know what to expect for weather. With it's location on the south-eastern corner of Attica, Lavreotiki experiences a typical Mediterranean climate throughout the year. While many think of this if they have not been, as a "tropical" type of climate, it is not.
Indeed, one can experience very hot weather in the summer months, but this warmth does not stick around throughout the entire year.
Many find that the month of August is too hot for their liking, but of course you do have plenty of beaches to visit - although many of them can get quite crowded in August.
With its location also can come strong gusty winds throughout the year, and the breezes can help to modify how the temperature feels, with a cooling effect.
Summer Sunshine - Winter Rains
One thing you can count on during the summer months is plenty of sunshine! It seldom rains during the hot summer months, bringing a long dry season.
Most precipitation falls as rain in the months between December through April. While snow is rare, one might experience snow, some times in the area.
Snow Storm Of January 2022
In 2022, Lavreotiki was not hit as harshly as Athens and other parts of Greece during the snow storm of late January, but many areas did see snowfall with some of it staying on the ground for a day. The more northerly areas of Lavreotiki did see quite a bit more snow than what is common in the winter time.
This year (2023) there was no snow in the month of January and generally mild conditions prevailed. There were some days that saw 17C as a high, but this can change rapidly as a cold front moves in.

Windy Beaches
One thing to keep in mind is that this part of Greece can get hit by ongoing winds off the Aegean sea. Some who have visited Lavreotiki have reported that they prefer to drive to Anavysos for their beach experiences, where it is somewhat more protected from the wind.
That's not to say that you will not find many days with a calm atmosphere, but be prepared for the possibility of days with gusty winds occurring.
